Program Overview

Archeology explores man and culture through the remaining material sources. These include objects, solid structures or man-made chemical changes in the soil. Archeology is multidisciplinary in nature. The studies examine the past between the last glacial period of the continent and the present, from anthropological point of view. Emphasis will be placed on the archaeological cultural heritage of northern Finland and the northern regions in a global context.
