The major in Acoustics and Audio Technology gives fundamental knowledge about acoustical phenomena, human hearing and audio technologies, and facilitates students to apply this knowledge in practice. Acoustics and Audio Technology is one of the eight majors offered in the Master's Programme in Computer, Communication and Information Sciences (CCIS). The objective of the major is that after graduation you will be able to apply your knowledge and skills flexibly in different tasks in the industry and the academia. You will be able to measure, understand the perceptual aspects, and design, e.g., the acoustics of a classroom or a loudspeaker. In addition, you have good skills in audio signal processing and you understand what is important from the human hearing point of view.
A high quality Bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering, communications engineering, or electrical engineering, Recommendations, Motivation and commitment to studies in the programme, Language proficiency, Content of the previous degree(s), GPA of 4.0, GRE or GMAT test results, copies of any publications, work certificates and certificates of other relevant achievements, course descriptions of courses taken in relevant subject areas, official transcript of records for other university studies, IELTS (Academic IELTS only): 6.5, and 5.5 for Writing, TOEFL ibT of 92, and 22 for Writing, (PTE A): 62, and 54 for Writing, C1 Advanced (former name Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, CAE): A,B or C
