Aalto University is based in Greater Helsinki, Finland, and it was founded in the year 2010. It was formed by consolidating three significant Finnish Universities, The Helsinki University of Technology, The Helsinki School of Economics and The University of Art and Design. Aalto University is one of Finland’s largest Universities. 

Aalto University Programs and Courses

Aalto University has 6 schools, The School of Business, School of Chemical Technology, School of Engineering, School of Sciences, School of Economics and The School of Arts, Design & Architecture. The University offers only 2 bachelor programs in English,  Bachelor’s program in International Business and Bachelor’s program in Science and Technology and all other 85 top-level Master’s Degree Programs are awarded in English in the areas of Art and Design, Business and Economics and Science and Technology. The University also offers 16 International double degree Programs.  Aalto University has more than11 thousand full-time equivalent degree students on its roll.

Aalto University Campuses

The university’s main campus is located in Otaniemi in Espoo which is 10 km from the centre of Helsinki. All 4 schools of Science and Bachelors programs are based on a campus designed by Alvar Aalto. Otaniemi has a lot of technology companies and research-oriented units and business incubators. The institute is very close to Head Quarters of Nokia and Fortum, two big companies. The Otaniemi campus has good connectivity to the city centre by bus and Metro trains.  There are more than one hundred student organisations on campus.

Aalto University USP and Achievements
The art and design program at Aalto University was ranked 9th worldwide. The university has tie-ups with big events like Flow festival, Helsinki Design week, Paris Photo, National Portrait Gallery London, Pitti Uomo and Milan Furniture Fair. The students can also opt for exchange programs with their partnered universities across the world.
