Program Overview

The Plants and Society course trains experts in Plant Sciences with skills applicable to the agronomy, landscape and health-well-being sectors. These skills associated with knowledge in Geography and in environmental and intellectual property regulations allow students to become actors in the valuation of plants in contexts of sustainable development and societal change. The skills concern three main areas which are essential elements of the Grenelle de l'environment. Sustainable culture: plants as a source of food in a context of sustainable production and Agroecology, Landscape: plants as an essential element of landscapes rural and urban, Plant valorisation: plants as a source of molecules with high added value in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and phytosanitary fields.
