Program Overview

"The ""Music and Human Sciences"" course is intended for students who wish to understand the current themes and issues of musicology, as well as the relationship of this discipline to other human sciences. It involves 17 teacher-researchers from the universities of Poitiers and Tours who cover all areas of musicological research. It is designed in a dynamic relationship with the research programs of the supporting laboratories and also benefits from the contribution of visiting foreign researchers (Freiburg, Saarbr cken, York, Valladolid, Fondazione Cini in Venice, etc.) within the framework of thematic seminars. Speakers from the professional world of music, cultural mediation, documentation and music publishing take part in the integration modules and occasionally in certain seminars."
