Program Overview

The course introduces you to the analysis and interpretation of texts and documents from the Middle Ages to the modern era, to the history and theory of French, Francophone and comparative literature. It trains in different approaches, sociology of literature, history of ideas, philology, text editing, according to a transdisciplinary perspective that brings together literature, philosophy, history, arts and society. It allows you to anticipate the preparation for the aggregation competition. The student will complete his training by deepening his language skills necessary for his course, his bibliographical research, and the international promotion of his research. The course leads to a progressive specialization (period, genre, author, method), according to each person's personal project.
