Ma historical expertise mediation and enhancement of historical knowledge in University of poitiers

The "Public history and scientific expertise" course is the result of the convergence of multidisciplinary work carried out within the CRiHAM EA 4270 laboratory, but also of projects initiated by or with historians, within the framework of collaborations maintained by research professors with other disciplines, such as law, psychology, life and earth sciences. It also results from the affirmation of the teacher-researchers who supervise it in the field of mediation and scientific, territorial, cultural and heritage popularization. It intends to train professionals capable of taking on a variety of tasks that employers rarely entrust to historians, even though history is at the heart of the missions they assume. The training is backed by multi-year research programs open to digital humanities so that this course intends to offer unparalleled training in emerging professions. Starting from the observation that the project managers, journalists, agents of technical or cultural services are not intended to extract valuable historical and heritage data themselves, and that the actors who employ them often have little knowledge of the historical resources which available to them, the teaching team will train high-level professionals in history, creative, capable of serving as an interface between these actors in the field and their collaborators.
