At the end of the first year of the master's degree, common to all students enrolled in the Mention, the Criminology and victimology course offers students a multidisciplinary scientific study (law, clinical psychopathology, medicine, sociology, history, etc. ) phenomena of delinquency and deviance, but also victimology in its legal, social and clinical dimensions.Each promotion brings together students from university studies (law, psychology, medicine, etc.) or from professional backgrounds (magistrates, penitentiary integration or probation advisers, health professionals, employees of associations providing assistance to victims, ...) various.

The Criminology and Victimology course trains clinical psychologists and researchers of psychoanalytic orientation, specialists in psychic and psychopathological suffering, likely to practice with an audience of all ages, according to a specific approach and clinical tools. It is shared with the Criminology -- Victimology course of the master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences and supported by the Faculty of Medicine. It is backed for research by EA 4050, CAPS component. It integrates the latest research and practices in criminology and victimology from a multidisciplinary perspective. It trains in the psychoanalytic clinic by privileging the dimensions of subjectivation, family links and themes specific to the legal and penitentiary.
