The research-oriented and career-oriented consecutive master's degree in art history imparts in-depth knowledge and methodological independence in the entire subject area of art history. The students acquire intensive knowledge of medieval, modern, modern and contemporary works of art, discuss genre and media issues and study their evaluation, interpretation and forms of reception.
Bachelors degree with 180 credits and proof of 60 credits in art history, English skills at level B2 GER, Reading skills in a second modern foreign language at level B2 GER preferably French, Italian, Dutch or Spanish, Applicants who did not acquire their higher education entrance qualification or their first degree at a German-speaking educational institution must have German language skills at the level of the German language test for university admission DSH at the DSH-2 level or an equivalent German test, Admission can also be granted subject to the fulfillment of these requirements up to the 2nd semester. Required language certificates - In the admission procedure or in the case of admission subject to conditions by the end of the 2nd semester at the latest, the following must be proven: English skills at level B2 GER, Reading skills in a second modern foreign language at level B2 GER.
