Program Overview

The aim of the master's degree is to teach advanced methods of information science. The master's program focuses on the scientific profile of information science in Regensburg: media informatics, human-machine interaction, knowledge-based systems, language and text technology and information philosophy. With basic coverage of central fields of information science, it offers the opportunity for research-related, in-depth studies in these areas. The methodological character of information science becomes clear in that information science questions and methods are discussed and demonstrated in changing application contexts.

Degree in an information science or comparable Bachelors subject computer science, business, media informatics, Proof of university entrance qualification Cover letter/letter of motivation- curriculum vitae - certificates certified transcript, Bachelors certificate is not yet available, there is the possibility of provisional admission, first degree in information science or computer science has been obtained, General higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, School-leaving certificate including transcript of grades, Certificate of University entrance exam, Certificate of studies transcript of records, degree, Copy of passport /identity card, Curriculum Vitae in tabular form primarily academic records Proof of German proficiency: can apply directly for a degree course if you provide proof a German level of at least B2, Exception: Applicants for Medicine, Dentistry and Molecular Medicine must prove German at at least level C1, International applicants who do not have direct entrance to higher education in Germany because their previous school and study achievements are not considered equivalent to the German Abitur can prepare specifically for their studies at the Studienkolleg
