The Masters degree in Education builds on the relevant university degrees in education, as well as on Bachelors degrees in the humanities and social sciences with education as second subject. The strong focus on research is designed to give students the skills to plan and shape learning processes and to analyze those processes in the context of their subject, societal and institutional conditions and in terms of how they operate in the case of specific individuals and their biographical life stages. If the course is taken as a second subject for the dual Masters degree, the focus is on Education in the Life Stages.

Degree and to subsequent further access requirements:Applicants who are not native speakers of German have to demonstrate their knowledge of German at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference, Degree with at least 180 credit points in a study of the educational sciences, their basic disciplines or a study with shares from this discipline with at least 60 credit points, of which at least 12 credit points in the field of general education or another equivalent qualification must be demonstrated, There must be at least six credit points for the methods of empirical social research, Attested copies of your educational background certificates such as from secondary school, university entrance exams, academic records of prior university semesters and other university reports and diplomas, proof of pre-check of the German embassy, complete curriculum vitae, an attested copy of your certificate of sufficient German language skills, attested German or English transcripts of all your documents, proof of paid fee for UNI-ASSIST
