The consecutive Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering (MatWerk) provides in-depth technical knowledge and specializations from a previous Bachelor's degree, so that the students receive in-depth scientific training in MatWerk. This means in-depth knowledge of the mechanical, chemical, optical, electrical and magnetic properties of materials, starting with their atomic structure, as well as understanding the connections between production and processing, structure and properties of materials up to macroscopic components, and aspects of environmental compatibility and sustainability to consider.
