Program Overview

The Master's programme in Literary Studies enables an interdisciplinary study of literature in the context of other sign practices and media. It is aimed at graduates of bachelor's programmes in literary studies as well as media and cultural studies with a focus on literary studies and an interest in processes of production, change and disturbance of meaning that are emerging or taking place in literature and other forms of representation and media.

Above-average degree from a relevant university course in literary studies, individual philologies, e.g. media or cultural studies focus on literary studies of at least six semesters standard period of study final grade 2.3 or better, Language entry requirement is proof of two modern foreign languages at level B1 of the European Frame of Reference by the end of the course of study, in accordance with the examination regulations of the University of Erfurt for language studies, Application form, official Transcript of Records list of grades and ECTS, Curriculum vitae, Copy of passport, Proof of German skills, send official certificate: Goethe | TestDaF | home university or Proof of English skills on level B2 if you want to attend courses taught in English
