MA in Language and variation

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Kiel

Program Overview

In our MA program, we are dedicated to this linguistic diversity and describe and research variations within individual languages and language families worldwide - from the lexicon to grammar and phonetics to the communicative function of linguistic structures. Together, this information creates a complete picture of a single language, which can then be compared with the structures of other languages. This allows us to classify the languages of the world into different types, which is the subject of the language typology.
