Program Overview

As a sub-discipline of classical philology, Latin covers the entire breadth of written output in the Latin language. Research and teaching focus on Roman literature from the start of the written tradition until the end of late antiquity in around the 6th century. The course also looks at the continuing impact of Roman literature in the mediaeval, Renaissance and early modern periods.

Additional Information & Requirements

Degree in Latin or another course with at least 60 credits in Latin.Applicants must have Latin.Ancient Greeks and one modern foreign language at level A2 CEFR are recommended.Applicants from outside Germany must provide evidence of German language skills at C1 level CEFR, Attested copies of your educational background certificates such as from secondary school, university entrance exams, academic records of prior university semesters and other university reports and diplomas, proof of pre-check of the German embassy, complete curriculum vitae, an attested copy of your certificate of sufficient German language skills, attested German or English transcripts of all your documents, proof of paid fee for UNI-ASSIST
