Program Overview

The Master's program in Semitic Studies and Ancient Near Eastern Philology is supported by the two professorships for Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Semitic Studies. You will work together with the five other professorships at the Center for Near and Middle East Studies, which represent philological and cultural-historical and contemporary social and economic focal points Arabic studies, Iranian studies, Islamic studies, politics and economics of the Near and Middle East. There are also collaborations with other methodological subjects at the Philipps University including linguistics, ethnology and religious studies.
