Program Overview

The only demography Masters degree course in the German speaking area is concerned with analysis of the interdependencies involved in demographic matters. Students acquire the knowledge and skills required to understand these connections and interdependencies and to investigate them under conditions of demographic change. In doing so they are empowered to develop a critical understanding of the most important demographic theories and available methods as well as the social consequences of demographic change. This also includes autonomous delimitation of new problems as well as their theoretical and empirical analysis.

Undergraduate degree usually a Bachelors degree, Proof of at least 60 credit points in social and / or economics and methods, of which at least 30 credit points from the areas of methods and / or demography, must be provided, Applicants whose mother tongue is not English must demonstrate knowledge of English at level B2 / GER, This course requires proof of at least the following level in accordance with the GER: C1, Attested copies of your educational background certificates such as from secondary school, university entrance exams, academic records of prior university semesters and other university reports and diplomas, proof of pre-check of the German embassy, complete curriculum vitae, an attested copy of your certificate of sufficient German language skills, attested German or English transcripts of all your documents, proof of paid fee for UNI-ASSIST
