Program Overview

The Greek philology deals with the literary evidence of Greek culture from Homer to late antiquity and the impact of these texts to the present day.In addition to strengthening their Greek language skills, students of MA Greek Studies should acquire in-depth knowledge of the history of ancient Greek literature and methods of the subject. These include secure skills in the interpretation of ancient texts, knowledge of ancient cultural history and regional studies as well as the appropriation of working methods of antiquities of neighboring disciplines.

Additional Information & Requirements

Applicant should have Successfully completed studies (eg Bachelor) in Greek or comparable subject, Certified copy of diploma certificate, Certified copy of list of certificates, Letter of motivation, CV in tabular format in English or German, Graecum, Latinum, knowledge of English and another modern foreign language, DSH , at least with the overall result DSH 2 or TestDaF , in all partial examinations at least with the result 4 or 5 (level)
