Program Overview

The consecutive, research-oriented master's program Italienstudien is an interdisciplinary course of study that, based on the linguistics and literature, conveys a broad and in-depth knowledge of Italian art, culture and history. To this end, events from other subjects dealt with in Italy are integrated into a framework that is essentially based on textual science and media culture theory, above all: art history and musicology, philosophy, classical philology, archeology, history and Romance studies.
