Program Overview

This master's program deals with Slavic languages, literature and culture. Students choose either Russian or Polish as their main language. Depending on their main language, their second Slavic language can be either Russian, Polish, Czech or Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. During the master s program, they will build up a strong passive language competence in that specific language. At the end of the program, students should be able to independently research specific topics pertaining to Slavic Studies and correctly categorize certain isolated phenomena. In addition to that, the active language competence of the students main language should reach at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR).
