MEd in Spanish

Spoken by around 450 million people, Spanish is one of the world languages and the largest of the romance languages. Following the expansion of Spain, the language spread across the world from the 15th century and is now the official language of 21 countries in Europe, America, and Africa. The Spanish course therefore focuses on the Spanish language in relation to its historical development and as a current language system. It also addresses the literature of the Spanish-speaking world and, as part of cultural studies, the cultural conditions in Spanish-speaking countries in their relevant historical and social contexts.
