MA Prehistoric Archeology

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Martin Luther University of Halle Wittenberg

Program Overview

Prehistoric archeology is devoted to material relics from pre-written times, which begin in Central Europe with the Stone Age and only end around the turn of the century. It thus encompasses the largest section of human history. In the absence of written sources, archeology is the only source for reconstructing past ways of life, the organization of societies or their development for this period.
