Program Overview

The master's degree in European-American Studies at the University of Regensburg is a four-semester, interdisciplinary and internationally oriented degree. It provides in-depth knowledge of past and present European-American relations and in different contexts. Topic and research areas such as politics, history, economy, literature, culture and language are considered from a transatlantic-comparative perspective. The focus of this consecutively designed course, which includes an internship, is on the acquisition of scientific and research-oriented expertise in the field of European-American relations.

Degree or university entrance qualification at a German-speaking institution must demonstrate basic knowledge of the German language by the end of the first year of study at the latest, Evidence of English language skills must be provided that corresponds to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference, proof must be provided through language courses totaling at least 120 hours of instruction, General higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, School-leaving certificate including transcript of grades, Certificate of University entrance exam, Certificate of studies transcript of records, degree, Copy of passport /identity card, Curriculum Vitae in tabular form primarily academic records Proof of German proficiency: can apply directly for a degree course if you provide proof a German level of at least B2, Exception: Applicants for Medicine, Dentistry and Molecular Medicine must prove German at at least level C1, International applicants who do not have direct entrance to higher education in Germany because their previous school and study achievements are not considered equivalent to the German Abitur can prepare specifically for their studies at the Studienkolleg
