Program Overview

The aim of the course is to impart content and methods from the history of science at an advanced level in order to be able to use them both for a demanding professional activity and for further qualification in research. The master's course is based on the specific profile of Regensburg's history of scienceas well as at the international discussion stand of the subject History of Science. This includes imparting a double qualification in the history of science and in the object disciplines. The course should enable the historical analysis of scientific knowledge and science as a social system with regard to the prerequisites, the mechanisms of scientific change and the consequences, taking into account the current state of research.
