University of Kiel

Program Overview

Human nutrition has been a socially and economically relevant topic for many generations. Adequate nutrition for the world's population, which is growing by around 78 million people every year, must be ensured. At the same time, chronic diseases that are partly due to (poor) diet are increasing. Associated with this are costs for society and the social security systems, which make political and economic solutions necessary.
