Program Overview

Arabic Studies/Islamic Studies 45/75 CPis a consecutive Master's partial course that is particularly research-oriented. The Halle Master is characterized by its focus on Arabic literature of the early modern period (16th-18th centuries). Students work with original-language certificates and deal with different areas and epochs of the history and culture of Muslim societies, taking into account the current state of research. You will be supported in developing your own interest and research profile, also depending on the other sub-course. They can choose from various methodological, linguistic and regional focuses. The cooperation in the university network with the partner institutes in Leipzig and Jena further expands the range of subjects.
