ME Philosophy for Grammar Schools

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Leibniz University of Hannover

Program Overview

Philosophy is a questioning science that grapples with issues of a general and fundamental nature. Examples of such questions include: What is real ; What is truth ; Under which conditions can we claim to know something (rather than simply believing that we know it) ; Do we, as people, have free will ; What constitutes good behaviour and how does it differ from behaviour that is wrong, unjust, immoral, and so on ; What obligations do we have towards other people ; What are natural laws ; How do explanations in individual disciplines work Philosophers debate such questions and responses to them, and analyse the arguments for and against the potential responses.
