The field of biochemistry and molecular biology is located at the interface between biology, chemistry and medicine. Biochemistry deals with the question of how processes in living nature can be explained chemically and physically on a molecular level. Molecular biology, on the other hand, deals with the chemical properties of nucleic acids and the processes that lead to changes in the genes of an organism.
