Program Overview

Biology is the science of living nature. Biology describes and explores the manifestations of living systems, organisms, their expressions of life, and their relationships with one another and with their environment. Biology comprises, among others, the fields of anthropology (human biology), botany, genetics, microbiology, molecular biophysics, and zoology. Biological research contributes to the preservation of the environment and to shaping our future living conditions. From an observational and descriptive science in past decades, biology has developed more and more into an experimental discipline that uses a variety of methods and instruments, including from sister sciences such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics
