MSc in Biomedical Chemistry

Complex medical processes can only be described through a deep understanding of the underlying chemical processes. Current biomedical research questions, however, require new approaches that go beyond the classic solutions offered by traditional programs such as Biology, Chemistry or Medicine. The master's program Biomedical Chemistry therefore connects three disciplines and aims at pooling target-oriented approaches and strategies from the different fields. A profound understanding of biological processes in human and animal organisms requires extensive knowledge of the underlying biomedical mechanisms and of the molecules involved. The master's program Biomedical Chemistry has a clear emphasis in the area of Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry and Medical / Pharmaceutical Chemistry as well as elective courses in the field of Biomedicine.
