The Master's course teaches the basics of chemistry and the biological activity of drugs, important methods of drug research, modern methods of organic synthesis and current methods of bioanalysis and screening. The content of the course is divided into two large blocks, pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry and organic chemistry, and a smaller area from bioanalytical chemistry.

Bachelors degree in chemistry or biochemistry grade 2.5 or better is required; 2nd state examination in pharmacy; other requirements are checked individually upon admission, Letter of motivation, curriculum vitae, high school diploma, Bachelors certificate with a list of courses attended and individual grades, Application for admission/assessment of aptitude for the master's degree, General higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, School-leaving certificate including transcript of grades, Certificate of University entrance exam, Certificate of studies transcript of records, degree, Copy of passport /identity card, Curriculum Vitae in tabular form primarily academic records Proof of German proficiency: can apply directly for a degree course if you provide proof a German level of at least B2, Exception: Applicants for Medicine, Dentistry and Molecular Medicine must prove German at at least level C1, International applicants who do not have direct entrance to higher education in Germany because their previous school and study achievements are not considered equivalent to the German Abitur can prepare specifically for their studies at the Studienkolleg
