Applicant should have bachelor degree of 3.0 (according to german grading scale) or better, Nano-Science or related subjects with Nano-Science, or in Physics or Chemistry or Biology. In the last three subjects basic knowledge and basic experience in the nanoscience core disciplines (quantum mechanics, physics of soft matter, physical chemistry, biophysics, special microscopy, nanotechnology, nanostructural sciences) at least 18 ECTS credits must be documented, Applicants must provide proof of their English skills (at least B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR).German and English are the languages of instruction and examination in this degree program. Students are required to have adequate knowledge of English language (at least B2 CEFR) in speech and writing. Many courses are conducted in English. The literature for advanced studies is almost exclusively available in English.
