Program Overview

Classical Archeology is the study of the material artefacts of Greco-Roman culture. The course looks at the period stretching from Greek prehistory to late antiquity. The geographical scope of the course includes the countries of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and southeast and western Europe. The objective of the course is to gain a vivid picture of ancient culture by analyzing and interpreting the material artefacts and the written tradition.
