Program Overview

The course lasts four semesters and, in seven modules, offers a program oriented to literature and cultural studies, which teaches advanced knowledge of the diverse manifestations of American society in literary, historical, political and cultural contexts. A special feature of the Master's program is the option to specialize in different fields of research, i.e. Early American Studies and New North American Studies. In addition, an interdisciplinary module offers students the opportunity to explore the traditions and diversifications of Anglophone literature, cultures and languages in more detail.
