MA European Economic and Social History

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Marburg

Program Overview

In view of current events, the historical dimensions of the economy are becoming increasingly important. The master's program European Economic and Social History is dedicated to this development and combines the systematic approach of economics with the historical approach of history. With a high theoretical and analytical standard, it aims to convey economic and social development and the interdependencies with politics, technology and institutions at the level of actors, structures and processes. In addition, however, a high proportion of practical work is possible - a six-month internship can be integrated into the course of study - which not only enables the students to explore future professional fields, but also brings them into contact with potential employers.
