Program Overview

In the Economic Geography master's degree, students acquire in-depth knowledge of the subject of geography. The teaching content relates to content-related competencies and methodological skills in economic geography and its various sub-areas. The students acquire specialist knowledge and methodological skills in order to be able to describe, analyze, explain, evaluate and forecast socio-economic processes from a multi-scalar, theory-based perspective. The acquisition of theory-related analytical knowledge and the strengthening of job-related problem-solving skills are in the foreground. In combined technical and methodological modules with a project character, integrated work processes are learned in an ideal-typical sequence.
