Program Overview

The main goal of the degree in Democracy Studies is the systematic combination of political science training and practice-oriented training. The master's program combines scientific knowledge transfer and practical application of what has been theoretically developed. The four political science sub-areas political theory and history of ideas, western systems of government, democracy and authoritarianism in Central and Eastern Europe, international politics are systematically interlinked.

Additional Information & Requirements

Bachelors degree in political science or a related subject with an overall grade of at least 2.5, provide evidence of a secure knowledge of the English language usually proof of higher education entrance qualification/Abitur certificate, Foreign applicants must prove German language skills at the level of the German language test for university admission for foreign applicants DSH or an equivalent German test, must be enclosed with the request or application: the completed application form , Proof of university entrance qualification Abitur certificate, Proof of a university degree or at least 150 CP from a first professional degree, Applicants who did not study political science for their Bachelors degree: Proof of political science skills in the scope of at least three successfully completed courses in political science
