Undergraduate degree usually a Bachelors degree, Proof of a first professional qualification course in humanities, social, economic or legal sciences with at least 180 CP, Applicants must have adequate English, French, Spanish or Swedish language skills, Evidence of level B2 of the CEFR must be provided in English, and level B1 of the CEFR in the other languages mentioned, proof of at least the following level in accordance with the GER Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: C1, Attested copies of your educational background certificates such as from secondary school, university entrance exams, academic records of prior university semesters and other university reports and diplomas, proof of pre-check of the German embassy, complete curriculum vitae, an attested copy of your certificate of sufficient German language skills, attested German or English transcripts of all your documents, proof of paid fee for UNI-ASSIST

Program Overview

Area-specific issues are becoming ever more important in science and politics. Among other things, you will seek to explain transnational co-operation, conflicts or political movements in their regional context. The degree course connects analysis of specific areas with investigation of the processes of collective identity formation. As part of the degree course, the theoretical foundations for identity formation are discussed and the process of identity formation is analyzed, based on an example from various regional areas. The objective of the course is to give students the analytical and theoretical basis for profound scientific work with Area Studies.
