The master's program Sociology: Societal Orders in Transition is a research-oriented course that leads you to a full, academic qualification in the subject of sociology and provides access to a doctorate for the graduated study path. The study includes a sound qualification in the reception and analysis of sociological theory; in particular theories of social order and disorder, order knowledge and order practices, Knowledge of current scientific discussions, problems and research priorities in international sociology, the teaching of application-oriented and methodical specialist knowledge, in particular methodology, social structure analysis, social change, a two-semester project study with current research references in the elective areas established orders in spatial and temporal comparison, order as a process: interaction and relationship dynamics or threatened orders, the ability to independently design, plan and implement research projects, in particular the research-related introduction and ability to plan a doctorate.
