Program Overview

The creative, reflective and pedagogical knowledge and skills acquired prepare the students for independent work in the fields of free and applied fine arts, art studies and art education. Fields of activity can be found in free art and applied design areas, such as media design, illustrator work in publishing houses or web contexts. Furthermore, the master's program prepares for professional fields with a focus on cultural mediation and public relations, such as work in state, municipal or private art schools, with didactic focuses in state, municipal and private museums and galleries, in publishing houses with cultural journalism and art criticism, in art mediation in the tourism sector , in cultural departments and in event organizations. In addition, it offers research-oriented career prospects at universities, art colleges and special research institutions due to its technical connection.

University degree, Bachelors degree in the respective course, Selection of artistic work portfolio as well as a curriculum vitae, proof of all academic achievements that prove the qualification for the master's degree, General higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, School-leaving certificate including transcript of grades, Certificate of University entrance exam, Certificate of studies transcript of records, degree, Copy of passport /identity card, Curriculum Vitae in tabular form primarily academic records Proof of German proficiency: can apply directly for a degree course if you provide proof a German level of at least B2, Exception: Applicants for Medicine, Dentistry and Molecular Medicine must prove German at at least level C1, International applicants who do not have direct entrance to higher education in Germany because their previous school and study achievements are not considered equivalent to the German Abitur can prepare specifically for their studies at the Studienkolleg
