This programme is pertinent to Hong Kong's current economic and social situation, namely, the CEPA with the Chinese mainland's entrance to the WTO, the rapid development in product development and analysis, the persistent pressure caused by environmental pollution, and the increasing need of qualified graduates in aeronautical engineering and the aviation industry. The programme prepares students to face these challenges and to take the initiative to mould the future of Greater China, including Hong Kong in particular. With these aims, we also welcome students with first degrees from other engineering disciplines, the physical sciences and mathematics.

A Bachelor's degree with Honours in a relevant branch of engineering, or a related applied science discipline; OR Qualifications that satisfy the academic requirements for Corporate Membership of the mechanical discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), or the equivalent, (IELTS) score of at least 6.5 (all sub-scores should be at 6.0 or above); TOEFL ibT of 90
