The Master of Educational and Child Psychology (MECP) Programme is a postgraduate programme, subsidised by the University Grants Committee (UGC). It is tailor-made to provide instruction and training in both the theory and practice of applied educational psychology, and will lead to a professional qualification for psychologists who wish to work in educational settings and organisations relevant to children and adolescents, including the pre-school, primary and secondary school sectors, tertiary institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with children/youth focus.

A recognised Bachelor's degree with Honours in Psychology/ An approved equivalent qualification in Psychology, recognised by the Hong Kong Psychological Society and Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Hong Kong Psychological Society or the equivalent, Transcript / Certificate, (IELTS) score of at least 6.5 (all sub-scores should be at 6.0 or above); TOEFL ibT of 90
