Program Overview

The specialization covers one of the broad areas of chemistry and chemical engineering, which focuses on the conscious shaping of the properties of materials and the development of material systems optimized for applications. The specialization students acquire thorough knowledge of metals, ceramics, plastics, porous materials and modern structural and functional materials, including special nanostructures and surfaces, biodegradable and biomimetic materials. During the laboratory exercises and individual tasks, they learn the use of many large instruments used for routine measurements and for research purposes, as well as the corresponding deeper theoretical foundations. In the second half of the training, it is possible to participate in one of the subtasks of international-level research projects.
