Program Overview

The training program of the oil engineering major in English prepares you for a special mining activity that involves the extraction, preparation and pipeline transportation of liquid or gaseous energy carriers (in a broader sense, mineral raw materials) through drilled wells. The technological system built from the hydrocarbon fields to the users is a complex and integrated pressure system, therefore the tasks of oil engineering are organically complemented by knowledge of mechanical engineering. According to the approach developed in previous decades, the oil engineer is a systems-oriented technologist-engineer dealing with the exploration and development of hydrocarbon fields and the transportation of the produced fluids.
