The master's program in Slovene language and literature is managed by the Institute of Slavic and Baltic Philology. We expect you to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge of the Slovenian language and an interest in Slovenia and Slovenian culture. During the training1 you will have the opportunity to further develop your existing language skills. In addition1 in the framework of literary history classes1 you can get to know outstanding figures of Slovenian literature and their works1 and in linguistics classes1 you can gain insight into the history of the Slovenian language and the current topics of today's Slovenian literary language. We are also waiting for you if you want to know more about Slovenian-Hungarian literary1 cultural and linguistic relations.

The aim of the program is to prepare students to become well-trained specialists in Slovenian philology. Students acquire comprehensive knowledge of Slovenian literature from its early period to date in a European context1 as well as extensive knowledge of Slovenian grammar and the history of the Slovenian language.
