In the foundation of a series of sciences1 logic represents a common language1 a common tool for solving rather abstract1 but all the more exciting problems: in addition to philosophy1 in mathematics1 physics1 linguistics1 economic and social science research. Here1 already during the master's course1 students can get involved in the dynamically developing world of living science1 namely by examining the logical foundations of any of the above disciplines according to their interests.

The program focuses on logic and its applications in the philosophy of science1 particularly in the foundations of mathematics1 physics1 linguistics1 and the social sciences. Beyond a few core courses and a joint four-semester seminar series providing a common background to all students1 we offer the following four thematic groups of courses: Logic and the Philosophy of Mathematics1 Foundations of Physics1 Logic in Linguistics1 and Models in the Social Sciences -- the student has to choose 7 courses offered in these modules.
