Astronomy is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. It uses mathematics1 physics1 and chemistry in order to explain their origin and evolution. Objects of interest include planets1 moons1 stars1 nebulae1 galaxies1 and comets.

The objective of the Astronomy Master's Degree Program is to provide a comprehensive knowledge of astronomy including related interdisciplinary areas. Students will also acquire competencies in the wider field of scientific research1 in the use of technical language1 in team work and in the communication of scientific results1 they will also develop an ability to resolve novel or unusual problems arising in a multidisciplinary context.
