Certified biologists usually perform their tasks in biotechnology1 pharmaceutical and related industries; their professional activities can cover both designer research and development and high-level professional managerial tasks. After their placement1 biologists deal1 for example1 with specific problems such as the processing of new phenomena within the scope of biology1 the safe and environmentally conscious operation and development of biological and chemical technological systems1 the completion of biological and biotechnology laboratory and semi-industrial and field tasks1 or even the acquisition of new experimental methodologies and development. In addition1 the graduates are suitable for performing and developing various service-related and commercial tasks

Students participate in intensive advanced and high level courses in the different fields of biology1 which are the most relevant for their specialization1 to make them informed about the recent developments and frontline problems. Some 60 % of time is practical hours (spent on laboratory/field practice and on research) ensuring knowledge of state of the art methods. The curriculum is assembled from intensive advanced level courses on the theoretical aspects of selected disciplines and special seminar series on problems in a narrower field of science.
