Masters in Cultural Anthropology

2 Years NA Masters Program

University of Miskolc

Program Overview

The anthropological approach seeks to describe culture from the inside, to reveal the individual's own point of view. An investigation from the perspective of those involved reveals the meaning connections of the culture, through which the outsider gets a deeper, closer and more authentic picture. This perspective plays a prominent role in the examination of the phenomena of today's Hungarian society, because the traditional frameworks of lifestyles and values have been dissolved. The complex of plural forms of life, life strategies and lifestyles that appear as a result of the process requires a comprehensive approach. The anthropological perspective can convey knowledge about the change processes of our society (globalization, migration and assimilation processes, equalization of social opportunities),
