Program Overview

The social policy master's course is the successor of the first university-level social policy course in Hungary founded by Zsuzsa Ferge. In our interpretation1 social policy is an interdisciplinary applied social science branch whose primary goal is the analysis of social responses to social needs. Therefore1 social policy1 as a problem-oriented discipline and activity1 is primarily based on the combined application of sociological1 economic1 legal and social work knowledge. The purpose of the training is to train social policy specialists who1 with their acquired theoretical and methodological knowledge1 are able to participate in the creation of policy in the field of social and social policy1 to contribute to the operation of the care system1 to represent social interests1 and for the theoretical cultivation1 research and education of society and social policy
